Affordable Computer Doctor was started by Cesar Ramirez, a Computer Engineer graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Dr. Ramirez worked for various companies throughout his studies at San Luis Obispo; Hewlett Packard, Xerox, Agilent, ESRI to name a few. To put it plain and simple, Dr. Ramirez got tired of the politics and outsourcing that has been going on in the past few years in the industry, so a risk was taken...

In 2003 Dr. Ramirez moved with his wife and family to a small, but growing city, Hemet, CA. This is where Dr. Ramirez set foot in an opportunity that would change the way people see Hemet and the surrounding cities. He realized there was a demand for computer support and consulting since newer homes were being built. "Majority of my clients like to have an on demand quick but complete service. This is the goal of the company. To provide a service in a timely and professional manner," says Dr. Ramirez.

"I like to remember the good days when large corporations had family picnics and holiday events," says Dr. Ramirez. "It's sad to see the family unit in companies being removed because of costs savings and/or outsourcing. Additionally, employees are feeling they are not part of the company benefits. My dream is to see Affordable Computer Doctor hire more "Doctors" to share the same vision."

Ramirez was 6 years old (1983) when he first laid eyes on home PC, a Commodore 64. His father, Jose Antonio Ramirez, used to take him to meetings to share ideas with other gurus. Being around his dad who has worked at HP since 1980, Cesar has gained the love for the industry since he was very young. He got an IBM PC when he was 12 and he taught himself basic programming and DOS. Before the internet, a BBS (bulletin board system) was used where he would gather information from others and share ideas of the tricks of the trade.

"A lot of problems in Windows can sometimes only be fixed from a DOS command prompt, because the Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) is infected," says Ramirez. "This gives me a lead on how to fix problems behind the scenes."
